Summer Programs

Learn to Row
MRC offers a learn to row program for students new to rowing. It is a week long introduction to the sport of rowing and is open to area students entering 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grades in the fall. There are several of these week long programs offered in the summer. You can choose to do one or all of the weeks of rowing.  Registration for these camps fill quickly.  The best way to know when registration opens is to "like" and "follow" our Facebook page - Moorestown Crew.  We always announce when registration opens on our facebook page and we will also email anyone who has taken a class with us before.

Pre-Novice Development Camp                                                                                                                                                                                     The Pre-Novice Development camp is for athletes who have taken a learn to row camp previously who want to grow and learn more in the sport of rowing.  It is ideal for rising 9th and 10th grade students who plan to join the High School team in the Fall as a Novice rower.  (This program is not a pre-requisite for rowing as a HIgh School Novice).  Registration for this camp fill quickly.  The best way to know when registration opens is to "like" and "follow" our Facebook page - Moorestown Crew.  We always announce when registration opens on our facebook page and we will also email anyone who has taken a class with us before.

Fall Season Grades 7-8                                                                                                                                                                                              This is a learn to row program for kids who are in 7th and 8th grades.  This program will be executed in a typical crew practice setting, but at times more intensive than rowing camps.  Participating rowers will not be racing outside of practice, but rather learning to row and gaining strengh in the sport to hopefully develop a passion for it and continue on into high school.  The best way to know when registration opens is to "like" and "follow" our Facebook page - Moorestown Crew.  We always announce when registration opens on our facebook page and we will also email anyone who has taken a class with us before.

Spring Programs

Spring Season Grades 9-12
The spring season is the primary program offered through MRC.  The season runs from December (starting with an indoor Erg Season) through the end of May and perhaps into June if your athlete is fortunate enough to qualify for USRowing Youth Nationals.  Students, whether new to rowing or returning rowers, are eligible to participate in the season.  All athletes must start the season in the erg room at the start of the season for proper conditioning and team bonding.  Indoor training begins in December in the Erg Room with the move to the river when weather allows (typically March).  Non-medal races and medal regattas (races) begin in mid-March.  The best way to know when registration opens is to "like" and "follow" our Facebook page - Moorestown Crew.  We always announce when registration opens on our facebook page and we will also email anyone who has taken a class with us before.

Spring Season Grades 7-8 (taste of spring)
The Taste of Spring program is for students in 7th and 8th grade who want to experience both indoor training and outdoor rowing.  The season will start in February with training on the ergs, transition to the water sometime in March, and end in April.
