Thank you for your interest in Moorestown Rowing Club's rowing programs.  We offer both recreational and competitive programs for kids in the Southern New Jersey region.  For our Summer programs, kids should be entering grade 7, 8, 9, or 10 in the Fall.

First some housekeeping:
 
  1. You must be 18 years of age to complete the registration documents.
  2. If you have already registered in a previous program PLEASE DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT.  Use your original email address and sign on.  If you create additional accounts, your information may be deleted as a duplicate and you may not be registered.
  3. If you have never registered you must create an account, please follow the directions below.
    1. Enter your email address and a 'temporary' password will be sent to your email account.
    2. Return to the site: enter your email address and the temporary password, you will then be able to change the password to one of your choice
    3. Select the program you are registering for.
    4. Complete the first form with the primary parent information. The second form is for listing a second parent or guardian.
      1. Alumni - may enter information as a parent
    5. The next form will be for the rowers information
    6. Complete the registration as indicated.  You will recieve an email confirmation once completed

Learn To Row, June 27th - June 30th, 11am-1pm

The Learn to Row program is designed for those who are interested in getting a taste of what crew is all about and learning the basics of rowing.  This is ideal for students new to rowing.

This is a four-day program, two hours each day for four days, 
at the Camden County Boathouse (www.camdencountyboathouse.com) 7050 N. Park Drive, Pennsauken, NJ. You will be instructed in crew techniques and safety as well as experience rowing on the river.

Session #4 is Monday, June 27th through Thursday, June 30th 11:00 am - 1:00 pm (Friday, July 1st is a rain/make-up date)

Space is limited.  The program is open to students who will be attending 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grade in the fall of 2022.  The cost of the program is $250.  Payment is on-line, by credit card.

Advanced Learn to Row - 6/20-6/23, 3:30-5:30pm

Middle School Program Advanced is our rowing class for anyone entering 7th, 8th or 9th grade in the Fall of 2022 who has previously taken any learn to row or Middle School Program before.  We will have a refresher of the basics and hone skills to make each child a better rower than they were before.  It is limited in the number of students to maximize learning and provide more individualized attention.  This is open to anyone who has previously taken a class with Moorestown Rowing Club. 

Section #1 will meet on the following dates:  June 20-23, 3:30-5:30pm with June 24th being a weather make-up day.  

Practices will be held on the Cooper River at the Camden County Boathouse unless otherwise stated by the coaches.  Practices will be rescheduled due to thunderstorms or flooding or at any time the coaches feel that it would be unsafe.  Practices will happen in light to moderate rain.  Practices may involve training that is not on the water.

The fee is $250.  Moorestown Rowing Club does not want cost to be a burden on anyone. If you have circumstances that require special consideration please contact Harry Faunce.  The club offers limited scholarships. All requests for consideration of a scholarship will be held in strict confidence.

Summer 2022 Boys Pre-Novice Development Camp

We're excited to offer a program this summer for our rising 9th and 10th grade rowers who will want to row competitively at the HIgh School thiscoming Fall and/or Spring!  The details for session #1 are as follows:

  • All rising 9th and 10th grade boys in the Moorestown school district who have previously participated in one of our Middle School Programs or Learn to Rows are eligible for the program.
  • Training will be conducted at the Camden County Boathouse, 7050 N. Park Drive, Pennsauken, NJ.  
  • The program will run Monday-Thursday from 3:30PM - 5:30PM for two weeks beginning July 25th and ending August 4th.  Friday, July 29th and Friday, August 5th will be reserved for rain/makeup dates.   

The focus of the program will be on continuing to instruct our experienced rowers on proper technique to better prepare them to compete in the high school program.  

To register, we are asking for a brief statement from your son on why they would like to row in High School.

All registrations will be first placed on a waitlist.  You will be notified of placement in the class and instructed on how to make payment via email.
